RERA is one of the regulatory divisions of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), which sets the rules for the emirate's real estate market. RERA provides protection for interested buyers and investors, which increases the transparency of real estate transactions in Dubai.

All real estate agencies, brokers and property management companies are required to register with RERA and obtain a license, without which subsequent transactions will be considered illegal.
